Text Messaging Terms
Home-service businesses use EarnFlow to text their customers about their appointments, estimates, invoices and service. These terms explain what you'll receive and how to stop it at any time.
1. Who texts you
Texts come from the business you dealt with (for example your landscaper, plumber or cleaner), from a phone number registered to that business. EarnFlow provides the software the business uses to send them. Each business runs its own messaging program; the business's name appears at the start of its automated texts.
2. What you'll receive
- Confirmations and reminders for booked visits, and "on my way" and "running late" updates.
- Messages about estimates, invoices, payments, service agreements and booking requests you made.
- Where you agreed to it, a request to review the business after a completed job.
- Replies from the business's team to texts you send them.
Message frequency varies with your appointments and account activity, typically a few messages per visit. Businesses on EarnFlow can't send automated texts overnight.
3. Consent
A business texts you only if you agreed: for example by ticking the texting box on its booking or approval page, by texting it first, or by telling a member of its team. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of buying a service. The business keeps a record of when and how you agreed.
4. Stopping texts and getting help
- To stop: reply STOP (or STOPALL, UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE or OPTOUT) to any message. You'll get one confirmation and no more texts from that business's number unless you reply START.
- For help: reply HELP, contact the business directly, or email support@earnflow.ca.
Stopping texts doesn't cancel your appointments; the business may still contact you by email or phone about work you've booked.
5. Costs
Message and data rates may apply, according to your mobile plan. Neither the business nor EarnFlow charges you to receive or send texts.
6. Carriers
Supported on major US and Canadian carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on your carrier and coverage.
7. Privacy
Your phone number and texting consent are used only to send you the messages described above and to honour opt-outs. They are never sold, and mobile numbers and consent are not shared with third parties for their own marketing. Texts are delivered through our messaging provider, Twilio. See our Privacy Policy for how EarnFlow handles information, and the business's own privacy policy for how it does.
8. Changes and contact
We may update these terms; the current version is always at this address. Questions: support@earnflow.ca or EarnFlow, Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
