Accessibility Statement

EarnFlow is committed to making its website, web application and mobile applications usable by everyone, including people who use assistive technology. We design to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and to the requirements of the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA).

What we do

  • Keyboard access. Every control on this website and in the web app can be reached and operated with a keyboard, with a visible focus indicator. Menus, dialogs and tabs follow the expected keyboard patterns.
  • Screen readers. Pages use semantic HTML, landmarks, headings in order, labelled form fields and descriptive link text. Icons that convey meaning have text alternatives; decorative icons are hidden from assistive technology.
  • Colour and contrast. Text meets a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 (3:1 for large text) in both light and dark themes, and status is never conveyed by colour alone.
  • Motion. Animations are decorative, and the site and app honour the "reduce motion" preference of your operating system by disabling them.
  • Text size and zoom. Layouts reflow at 400% zoom and respect your browser's font-size setting. Type scales fluidly on small screens.
  • Mobile apps. EarnFlow for iPhone supports Dynamic Type, VoiceOver labels on controls, sufficient touch-target sizes and the system's reduce-motion and increase-contrast settings.
  • Documents and emails. Estimates, invoices and customer emails are plain, well-structured HTML with text alternatives, readable without images.

Current status

We believe this website conforms to WCAG 2.1 AA. The EarnFlow web app substantially conforms; known exceptions are the live map and the dispatch board's drag-and-drop interactions, for which equivalent keyboard and list-based alternatives are provided (the Changes list in AI Dispatch, the list view in Scheduling, and the Jobs list), and third-party components such as the Stripe payment page, which Stripe maintains to its own accessibility standards. We test with VoiceOver on macOS and iOS, NVDA on Windows and keyboard-only navigation, and we include accessibility checks in design review and before each release.

Report a barrier

If you encounter something you cannot use, or you need information in another format, please tell us. Email accessibility@earnflow.ca with the page or screen, what you were trying to do and the assistive technology you use. We acknowledge reports within two business days, treat barriers as bugs with a fix date, and will provide the information or function you need another way in the meantime.

Accommodations

EarnFlow provides accommodations on request to customers, event attendees and job candidates. For events, tell us what you need when you register. For hiring, see our Careers page.

Feedback process

This statement and our feedback process are provided in accordance with the AODA Integrated Accessibility Standards. Feedback may be given by email at the address above, or by mail to EarnFlow Inc., Accessibility, 1 University Avenue, Toronto, ON M5J 2P1, Canada.
